These terms apply to the Inworld Map website and its API. By using them you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

The service

Inworld Map is a free, independent directory of Second Life regions built from the public world map. It is provided “as is”, without accounts, and may change, pause or stop at any time.

Not affiliated with Linden Lab

Inworld Map is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Linden Research, Inc. Second Life®, the inworld map images and related marks belong to Linden Research, Inc. Map tiles and parcel snapshots are shown as served by Linden Lab.

Accuracy of the data

• Everything is a snapshot taken by scanning the world map. Avatar counts, ratings, prices and names can change at any moment and may be out of date.
• Languages are guesses made from public text and may be wrong.
• Prices and parcels for sale are shown for information only. Always check inside Second Life before buying anything. We are not a party to any sale.

Content from Second Life

Region names, parcel names, descriptions and snapshots belong to their owners and are shown as they published them publicly. Some places are rated Adult and their text may contain adult language; the site is intended for adults. To ask for something to be removed, email [email protected].

Acceptable use

• Don’t try to break, overload or get around the limits of the site or the API.
• Don’t use the site to harass, track or target any person.
• Automated access is welcome through the API, within its rate limit (120 requests per minute per IP). Please cache what you can.

The API

The API is free and read-only, with no key. It can change, be rate limited or be blocked for abusive clients without notice. If you build something with it, a link back to Inworld Map is appreciated but not required.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Inworld Map and its maintainers are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from using the site, the API or the data, including decisions made based on it.
